…Or in my case a scoot!
Last week I went on an adventure with my Mom and my sister Darla. We traveled through many states and saw some beautiful sights. We went up, over and through the mountains. We even took a mountain hike. And although my Mom found us a really great dog park on top of it all, none of that was the best part of my adventure.
The very best part was at the end. Which was actually my beginning. You see my Mom took me back to where I started my journey of a thousand miles. The place where I was born, where I was found, where I was saved. I got to meet the people who saved my life when I was only a few weeks old. They were all so excited to see me again and how grown up I am. They even had a party for all of us!!!
They told us the story of how I was found and how they took me in and got me help. Then, after the party, they took me to see some rescue horses. That night we went back to the shelter where I started out and I got to see a whole bunch of dogs and cats get in a big van to take their first steps on their journeys to new homes. It was the…..
BEST.DAY.EVER.
My journey of one thousand miles started in Henderson, North Carolina and then to my rescue foster Mom in New York City and finally to my forever home with my Mom. And that is where my new journey began.
